Douglas Crapo is an attorney at Magleby Cataxinos & Greenwood who practices complex civil litigation. He enjoys obtaining favorable results for his clients whether through trials, dispositive motions, arbitrations, mediations, or just smart negotiations.

Most recently, Mr. Crapo's clients were elated with a favorable jury award after a trial where Mr. Crapo defended against a claim for expansive personal-injury damages. He consistently gets positive results for his clients. He has succeeded in a summary-judgment motion where claims against his client for over $60 million were fully denied and upheld on appeal. He has negotiated outcomes where his clients received compensation in the millions and were still able to forge working relationships with the adversaries into the future. He has also negotiated full, voluntary dismissal from an adverse party at the beginning of a dispute through quick and sharp actions taken at the beginning of the dispute.

Mr. Crapo's has practiced in many areas. Some of these include claims involving commercial torts, breach of contract and fiduciary duties, negligence and premise liability, non-compete agreements, healthcare billing, ERISA and insurance coverage, employment disputes, medical malpractice claims, and petitions for tax refunds. He understands modern electronic discovery, and how best to navigate disputes over large complex sets of business records.

Mr. Crapo began his legal career clerking for the Honorable Tena Campbell at the District Court for the District of Utah. Before that, he acted as a Utah Assistant Attorney General through a selective O'Hara fellowship program. While in law school he earned Order of the Coif distinctions, served as Executive Footnote Editor of Utah Law Review, and won the school's Traynor Moot Court Competition along with the award for best brief.

Currently, he is an Adjunct Assistant Professor, coaching the University of Utah's team in the National Energy & Sustainability Moot Court Competition, and serves as the Vice President of the David K. Watkiss - Sutherland II American Inn of Court.
