Jennifer Fraser Parrish

JENNIFER FRASER PARRISH is an experienced civil litigator specializing in complex commercial and intellectual property disputes. Ms. Parrish has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of civil trial and appellate practice. Ms. Parrish has extensive experience in and out of the courtroom, and has tried cases to resolution before a jury and in arbitration. Ms. Parrish has also briefed numerous appeals in both federal and state court, and has argued to the Utah Supreme Court.

Ms. Parrish is licensed to practice law in Utah and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Ms. Parrish is also licensed to practice in the United States Supreme Court, as well as the Second, Ninth, Tenth, and Eleventh United States Circuit Courts of Appeal and the United States Court of Appeal for the Federal Circuit.

Ms. Parrish has extensive knowledge of the rules of procedure and evidence, through not only her civil practice, but also as a member of advisory committees in both state and federal court. Ms. Parrish currently serves on The U.S. District Court for the District of Utah Local Rules Advisory Committee and The Advisory Committee on the Rules of Procedure for the Utah Business and Chancery Court. Ms. Parrish previously served on The Advisory Committee on the Utah Rules of Evidence.

Ms. Parrish currently serves as a Judge Pro Tempore for the Salt Lake City Justice Court. Ms. Parrish previously served six years as a member of the Utah Ethics & Disciplinary Committee.

Prior to pursuing her career in law, Ms. Parrish graduated with a degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from the University of Utah. Ms. Parrish then worked as a Programmer at Myriad Genetics, Inc., in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 2000, Ms. Parrish received an M.B.A. from the University of Utah and worked in the computer software industry until entering law school. Ms. Parrish received her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, Texas.

Ms. Parrish worked as a Summer Associate at Fenwick & West, LLP (Mountain View, California) and Beckley Singleton, Chtd. (Las Vegas, Nevada) before joining Magleby Cataxinos. As a student, she was also a summer extern for the Honorable Ronald E. Nehring of the Utah Supreme Court.

Ms. Parrish is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer review rating available for an attorney. Ms. Parrish has also been ranked in Chambers USA in the area of Commercial Litigation since 2024.

Ms. Parrish has been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine in 2022-2026 as a “Super Lawyer,” and in 2009 and 2011-2016 as a “Mountain States Rising Star.” Ms. Parrish was also recognized by Best Lawyers in America in 2024-2026, as well as Utah Business Magazine’s “Utah Legal Elite” in Civil Litigation in 2021.
